Fortunately, none of the people on board died.
A tourist helicopter ride for four vacationers in Hawaii almost ended in death. The incident occurred on the island of Kauai; tourists rented a Jack Harter helicopter, but its engine failed during the flight. The footage from the cockpit shows how the rotorcraft's blades stop and the pilot, with icy calm, decides to land on the beach, away from the rocks.
The Hawaii Fire Department says the pilot was able to land the helicopter on Honopu Beach. But despite the fact that during a hard landing the car turned into a pile of crumpled metal, none of those on board died. There were 5 people on board - four tourists and a pilot. only one of the passengers was injured. He suffered a back injury and was taken by airlift to the hospital. The reasons why the helicopter blades stopped rotating are unknown.
