83-year-old Elizabeth Sweetheart from New York is known as the "Green Lady of Brooklyn." Even 25 years ago, she realized that she adores the color green and wants to surround herself with it as much as possible. According to Elizabeth, this color simply "makes her happy."
"I love bright colors. I've worn many colors throughout my life, but green brings me the most happiness. It's easy to live with," says the woman.
Elizabeth literally has everything green: clothes, hair, jewelry, makeup, home and interior items. She has a lot of plants at home, a green carpet, chairs, pots, dishes, cutting boards and even green pots. According to the woman, such an obsession with green was her conscious choice. At some point, she simply decided to live in her green world - and she is very happy about it. She blogs on social networks, where she already has 400 thousand subscribers, and shares photos from her green world.
As Elizabeth says, her husband Robert is not at all against her “green craze.” Thanks to her love for the color green, they often meet interesting people. Her bright appearance and popularity do not bother her in any way.
“When people see me, they smile, they are happy, and they like to take pictures with me. We hug each other, and all this always brings positive emotions,” says the woman.
Elizabeth now works as an artist. She said her mother was originally from Wales and studied medicine in London, where she met her father and then they moved to Nova Scotia. Elizabeth was raised there by her grandparents. They lived in a house near the Bay of Fundy, where her grandmother taught her to draw and sew clothes. In 1964, Elizabeth hitchhiked to New York to become an artist and introduce herself to the world, and found work making prints.
