Passers-by noticed a pink rag on the side of the road, in which someone was clearly moving. It turned out to be an unwanted cat that was cruelly thrown out in the pouring rain. The poor thing was all wet - but kind people did not leave her in trouble.
A New York woman saw this cat wrapped in a pink pillowcase on the side of the road in the rain. The poor thing was completely wet, but a woman driving by noticed her in time and reported her to the local Niagara SPCA rescue center. Employees called this case "one of the most heartless ways to get rid of an animal."
"She was abandoned in the pouring rain, tied in a pillowcase, on the side of the road near the turnoff to the lake. Luckily, a woman driving by saw that the pillowcase was moving and stopped to investigate. She untied the pillowcase, the cat ran out and immediately climbed into the engine of her car," shelter employees said.
Rescue workers arrived at the scene, safely removed the cat from the car and brought it to the shelter. Fortunately, other than the fact that the cat was wet and scared, no injuries or health problems were found in her. The team is now trying to find the animal's owners to bring them to justice. When the poor thing has fully recovered, they will begin to look for a new family for her, where she will be accepted and given a new life.
