In China, divorce will be allowed only after passing the exam (6 photos)

China is fighting by all means to save marriages. I have already written about months-long queues at government agencies for divorce, so that a couple might change their mind about getting a divorce. And here is another initiative, local, to take a divorce test. And you can still fail him!

In Sichuan Province, civil judge Wang Shio has introduced examinations for husbands and wives who want to divorce. If the results are unsatisfactory, the application for divorce will not be accepted or approved.

"Please divorce me"

This is because in his province the percentage of divorce cases has increased greatly since 2017. And the judge introduced his own filter questionnaire, in which you had to score less than 60 points in order to be cheated.

What was in the divorce test?

Like a real exam, there are several types of questions, including “starred” questions.

In the first part, you need to fill in the blanks in questions about your spouse. In the second part, you had to write facts about your family (indicate your exact birthday, favorite dish, wedding anniversary).

And at the end they write an essay on the topic “What responsibility for your family do you take on” or “What is marriage and family for you.” After which the judge checks the answers and asks the second spouse for their accuracy (about the dish, for example).

The trouble is that the judge gives points for answers “out of the blue.” Rather, it relies on the feeling at what stage the couple’s conflict is at.

The judge reads the essay "Why I Love My Wife")

The first couple to take the test scored 80 points because they answered facts about each other well. And on this basis the judge rejected their application. Although the reason for the divorce was the husband's passion for gambling.

The poor woman, who knows her husband well, lied to herself the next time!

Why do the Chinese get divorced?

The most common cause of divorce is physical violence against the wife, unfortunately. It is cited as one of the reasons in 60% of divorces. It’s difficult to say how much of this is true and how much is being lied to is true.

Divorce us, please!

In China, the transition “from city to village” is taking place at a very rapid pace, and, like ours, the traditional institution of marriage is bursting at the seams. Only in China there is an even greater commitment to tradition, and the separation from one’s roots is felt more painfully.

Women began to provide for themselves, therefore they are not inclined to tolerate their husband’s bad habits or assault.

In second place is betrayal. This is the main reason cited in 25% of marriages.

But the government is not fighting these divorces at all. They slow down and put a spoke in the wheels of divorces to avoid tax evasion scams. Husbands and wives marry and divorce five times to split up property and hide assets.

Study, student, study, it will be useful in a divorce

However, this often happens to us too.

But the judge with the tests obviously took on too much power, like a small feudal prince. Do you think there is a normal legal method to reduce the divorce rate? It seems to me that there should be a qualification for marriage so that the wedding takes place only six months after the application. Then there will be no stupid spontaneous marriages.
