An armed attack on a courthouse in Istanbul was caught on video

According to preliminary data, five people were injured, including three police officers.
A man and a woman armed with pistols exchanged fire with law enforcement officers near the courthouse in the Caglayan district of Istanbul. The goal of the attackers was most likely the court. However, they were unable to get inside; they were stopped at a checkpoint located in front of the entrance to the building.

Fortunately, the attack was suicidal and poorly planned. The police eliminated both criminals in front of the court gates.
“Today at 11:46 (the time coincides with Moscow time) an attempt was made to attack the security point at the entrance to the Caglayan court building. The attackers - a man and a woman - were killed,” said the head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ali Erlikaya.

According to yet unconfirmed information, the attackers were members of the left-wing terrorist organization DHKP-C (Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front).

It is reported that 5 people were injured - two civilians and three police officers. Following the incident, police presence was increased in the court area. Now all entrances and exits from the building are blocked.
