A couple from the USA moved into a closet to save on housing (9 photos + 1 video)
There are more and more homeless people in the United States - this problem is becoming serious. One local couple found a way to survive in difficult conditions: they lived in a warehouse.
A resident of the American city of Philadelphia, 28-year-old Leland Brown, shared how he and his girlfriend Breanna live in a warehouse (or closet). These are found in apartment buildings and are designed to store residents’ belongings. According to the guy, they are absolutely satisfied with everything.
"We live in a closet because it's cheap compared to an apartment. We're very comfortable here, we have everything we need. I can exercise here, use a shared toilet, listen to music anywhere. There's climate control here, so it's warm and cozy "- says the guy.
There is also an electric burner in the pantry where you can cook food. They use a power bank to charge their devices. According to the guy, this is their temporary place of residence in order to save money. For now, they are saving money “for what they want to achieve in the future.” The guys' next goal is to buy a van and then a small house.
The couple maintains a blog where they talk in detail about their financial difficulties and living conditions, as well as the problem of homelessness in the United States. They changed several places of residence: once they even lived in a tent in the forest, but due to many difficulties they decided to find something else. Leland now works part-time at a hotel, and in addition, he and his girlfriend make money from a blog. According to him, now they are deciding where to invest the earnings from the blog - in investments or buying a car.
