How do the renovation of the old "Khrushchev" in Germany (8 photos)
Do not be surprised, "Khrushchev", albeit a little different from those in former Soviet republics, Germany also has. And a lot. True, in East Germany. They have been here since the GDR.
Now these houses are 40, 50 and more years old. They are obsolete physically, aesthetically, morally and in terms of convenience (although apartments in the German "Khrushchev" were originally two heads more comfortable and more comfortable than the Soviet ones).
And, like us, it's time to renovate them.
But in Germany they do it in a completely different way than we can observe the example of Moscow. Blocks with Khrushchev houses are by no means demolished under the root, in order to build more populated skyscrapers instead.
Here everything happens, one might say, in the opposite direction. Well, in a completely different way.
Here is what the same house as in the first photo looks like at the beginning of the renovation process.
All tenants are evicted from it, and then they begin to carefully dismantle it.
But they do it not to the ground, but only remove a few upper floors. Reducing the number of storeys, reduce the load on the "tired" designs. And at the same time, they change all intra-house networks, taking into account modern needs and realities.
So, from a 5-story "Khrushchev" they make a neat two- or three-story residential building.
In this photo is just the same house that I managed shoot in the process of starting renovation (only from the other side).
This is the same house next to his twin brother. In the 60s they were built together two identical side by side. Brother is still waiting for his turn renovation.
But these are the simplest options for remodeling social apartment buildings.
Wealthier homeowner companies are renovating and more expensive, and more beautiful, and more modern. True, in such houses to rent housing will be already 150-250 euros more expensive than in the houses from the photos above.
