A Minsk resident made an ice boat that you can sail on (4 photos + 1 video)

26 January 2024

Belarusian Ivan Karpitsky created a small but impressive ship out of ice. In the video, the man himself took the helm and set sail.

The ship can easily accommodate a person, can float just like a real one, and there is even lighting on board.

It is difficult to guess the size of the ship from the photo. But it is clear that it can easily withstand the weight of a person (at least one). The atmosphere is added by lighting, as well as a rotating steering wheel and details in the form of anchors. But how the ship set off on its first voyage - if this is not the dream of anyone who has seen enough cartoons and films about pirates, then what is?

History is silent about how long it took to create the ice ship. One of the author’s subscribers even asked whether it was possible to order such an ice sculpture from the master. Ivan replied no.

The work is truly impressive.

By the way, this is not the first “winter” masterpiece of a Belarusian. Last year, Ivan built a nine-meter snow lighthouse.
