Results of the year: IMDb announced the rating of the most popular TV series of 2023 (11 photos)

I’ll tell you below which TV series were in the top ten and why.





It's the last month of this year, and many music and film platforms are starting to take stock. Likewise, the authoritative movie website IMDb published a list of the most popular TV series of 2023, which were watched by millions of people around the world. The rating was compiled based on the number of visits to the series' pages, which were analyzed every week. Many of these series remained in the weekly tops from the very beginning, while some took off in an unexpected way only at the season finale.

10th place. Generation “V” (2023-…)



IMDb: 7.8

The series is about a college where young superheroes study. Probably, the story attracted viewers who were impressed by the sensational “The Boys” (2019-...), because the series is their spin-off.

9th place. Bear (2022-…)





IMDb: 8.6

The comedy-drama series follows a chef who is forced to take over a run-down restaurant, a far cry from his previous work at a Michelin-starred establishment. Jeremy Allen White, the leading actor, received two awards: a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

8th place. Ted Lasso (2020–2023)



IMDb: 8.8

Emmy Award-winning comedy series about a football coach. This award also went to Jason Sudeikis for his leading role and Brett Goldstein for his supporting role.

7th place. The Fall of the House of Usher (2023)



IMDb: 8

Mini-series based on the story of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe. IMDb critics attribute much of the success to actress Carla Gugino, who often became a co-author of the project.

6th place. One Piece. Big jackpot (2023–…)



IMDb: 8.4

This series based on the famous manga of the same name broke Netflix's all-time record for the number of simultaneous views in 84 countries.

5th place. The Mandalorian (2019–...)



IMDb: 8.7

Although the third season received mixed reviews from both critics and fans, the season finale ended on a high note, satisfying viewers.

4th place. Black Mirror (2011-…)



IMDb: 8.7

Four years later, the series returned to the list of the best thanks to the sixth season, which plunges viewers into Loch Henry and into the depths of space.

3rd place. Descendants (2018–2023)



IMDb: 8.9

The series received an Emmy Award, which was also awarded to actors Jeremy Strong and Matthew Macfadyen. And Brian Cox and Sarah Snook were awarded Golden Globe awards.

2nd place. Ahsoka (2023-…)



IMDb: 7.6

Ahsoka is part of the Star Wars franchise and a spin-off of The Mandalorian.

1 place. The Last of Us (2023-…)



This series has indeed become one of the most discussed recently and has received various awards, but has not yet achieved major victories. He probably still has more to come. But Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay, who played the main roles, definitely became the stars of this year.
