Men sometimes want to feel a strong adrenaline rush and feel like, if not a god, then at least the king of the hill. Some people drive along the highway at night to do this, others climb into the mountains. There are others like this guy.





Alex Etherington, a 32-year-old welder from County Durham in Britain, also wanted to somehow brighten up his gray everyday life. The dream came true: thanks to a friend’s recommendation, the guy ended up in a closed fight club. Participants do not need to follow any rules at all. The main thing is to defeat your opponent.

There are no rounds and no rules. The referee stops the fight on the principle of first blood. That is, when the need to provide medical assistance to one (or both) is already clearly obvious. Naturally, the fights are underground. The organization does not have a license, and it does not bear any responsibility for the consequences.

A souvenir became a touching reminder of one of the events at the King Of The Streets club, of which Alex has been a member since 2022. He got it during the Tyson-style fight. The enemy grabbed Etherington's ear and almost chewed it off. Not everything, but a piece of the ear shell remained in someone else’s teeth. True, Alex also lashed out at his partner and almost gouged out his eye.

But in defense of the member of the King Of The Streets club, who told The Sun about his adventures and misadventures, the fact is that this was his first fight, so to speak. And his opponent, Bahir “Bash” Fakhoury from Hastings, was already an experienced fighter.

However, the pain and blood did not cool the newcomer’s ardor. He pressed as hard as he could on Fakhoury's eye. He screamed and the referee stopped the fight. Alex snatched victory and went to the hospital.

After examination, doctors reported that they would not be able to sew the bitten fragment back on. The man took it home to show the girl. After which I wanted to throw it away. But she didn’t allow it. And a piece of flesh settled in an alcohol solution in a pickle jar that now adorns the kitchen shelf.

It's really exciting. It's just different, and that's great. I have never felt more free than when I fought where there were no rules or restrictions. It was a small piece of freedom, real freedom.

The popularity of underground fighting in Britain is growing. Participants are notified of the place and time several days in advance via mailing. Despite the risk, both Alex's girlfriend and daughter from a previous relationship support his hobby. Moreover, it also brings considerable material benefits: the welder received approximately 2 thousand pounds for winning that battle.
