The participants were hoping for some fun entertainment, but the tasks turned out to be more difficult than they thought.
After the release of the South Korean series "The Squid Game", reality shows based on it became popular. Participants undergo various challenges to receive a cash prize. Those who fail to complete the task are eliminated. However, the participants of one such show, Squid Game: The Challenge, went to court. As it turned out, they suffered from hypothermia and damage to nerve endings.
News agency Deadline reports that during the game "Red Light - Green Light" they had to stand for a long time in a cold room without moving to avoid being noticed by a menacing doll. In the series, she killed those who moved. In the show, the losers were simply removed from the field. The game was filmed at Cardington Studios.
The victims contacted Express Solicitors. Company representatives said that "clients risked their health by being forced to remain motionless for long periods of time during filming in an attempt to remain in the competition." Even though Netflix confirmed that three of the 456 players required medical attention, Squid Game: The Challenge said it was not aware of any legal action.
