A resident of the Chinese urban district of Urumqi captured an unusual road user. The camel ran proudly past the woman's car.
A resident of the city of Urumqi (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China), returning from work by car on November 17, captured an unusual road user.
The camel ran past the cars and disappeared in an unknown direction. It remains unknown whether police were able to catch him, but there were no reports of accidents or injuries.
Known for its distinctive double hump, long shaggy coat and adaptable nature, the Bactrian camel has long been an important pet in many regions of Asia.
It is well adapted to living in a sharply continental dry climate with hot and dry summers and very frosty and snowy winters.
