An army all-terrain vehicle was turned into a nightclub (13 photos)
Oracle Lighting, a company specializing in automotive lighting, has introduced an unusual SUV, the Expedition Series. It was created on the basis of the Stewart & Stevenson M1079 army multi-purpose vehicle (LMTV), but adapted for long off-road trips, and in the back of the SUV a kind of nightclub is organized. The company plans to use the unusual car at its outdoor events.
The army tactical vehicle is mounted on 46-inch off-road tires with an inflation system and is equipped with a winch with a traction force of more than 8 tons. The power unit remains unchanged - it is a 6.6-liter Caterpillar diesel engine, complete with a seven-speed Allison gearbox, developing 225 hp. and 996 Nm, but the engine received an upgraded fuel system.
The vehicle serves primarily to demonstrate Oracle Lighting's lighting capabilities. Therefore, it was equipped with many additional spotlights located on the power bumpers, cabin and expeditionary trunk. There are also two spacious storage boxes on the roof.
In the back of the SUV there are two sofas, trimmed with leather and Alcantara, as well as a developed sound system, which can be connected via Bluetooth. In addition, the “night club” was equipped with atmospheric lighting, hanging storage drawers and a kind of bar counter with air conditioning. The LMTV cabin has also been refinished. Additional electrical equipment can be powered by a kilowatt solar panel kit.
In mid-October, the Grounded brand introduced an all-electric camper based on a commercial FedEx delivery van. Its interior is formed from a set of modules that can be moved or changed at will.
