A visitor to the Valdai shopping center on Arbat stood on the escalator and almost immediately fell due to the fact that her leg began to be “chewed” by the staircase mechanism

Almost immediately, visitors ran up to the victim. The escalator was stopped and the woman's leg was pulled out of the mechanism. She lost consciousness from the pain.
Rescuers were called to the scene of the emergency.
Now, according to media reports, the victim’s life is not in danger. Most likely, her leg is injured, but the severity of the injury is not yet known.
