A statue on which the Chinese urinate, but tourists are not allowed (6 photos)
In China there is such a statue (even a group of monuments) that it is customary to humiliate, scold, spit on and urinate with all your might. As you can guess, this is a statue of a national traitor.
The Chinese love their history, and they are also vindictive, so they remember very well what Cun Gui (or Hui) did in the 12th century. Namely, he betrayed the great national hero China Yue Fei, who cleared the lands of China from nomads. And in general, he did a lot for the sake of unity and the creation of an integral state.
And this is a statue of a protective hero, incredibly cool, like Captain America
Historical information, how Fei is good, and how Tsun is fu-fu-fu
The hero of the country was killed due to political intrigue. The military leader Yue Fei, not immediately, but on the sixth order of the emperor, withdrew his troops and stopped the persecution of the nomads; this same Tsun Hui (in fact, one of the emperor’s sons, who took another secret name) condemned him for this.
Faye is incredibly cool in novels and stories, well he deserves it
He was thrown into prison and secretly executed, because a loud announcement of the verdict would cause riots and unrest among the troops, because everyone loved Yue Fei. He gained too much power and love from the people, so the vile Tsun got rid of him.
And the country lost a national hero. Therefore, when they erected the monument, they immediately knew that they were erecting a monument to a clear scoundrel and traitor.
Do you know such monuments here? Not when the attitude towards an individual in history changes, but when his role is unambiguous? Like a monument to Hitler? Moreover, even now they can sometimes insult a person with the name of Tsun Gui, thereby calling him a lying traitor. And on the contrary, the name of Yue Fei is used to name all sorts of heroes, loyal and all-around wonderful people.
Here are the statues of traitors, they were fenced off either so that they would sit in prison, or so that they would not be kicked
And the Chinese erected a monument to hatred. This is Cun Hui, sitting in a position of repentance on his knees, and his relatives. They allegedly ask for forgiveness from the entire Chinese people.
Spit, beat, humiliate!
Look how the walls are covered with moss. They don’t like to clean, it’s still described
It used to be common practice to urinate on statues directly on your face when you came to see them. So that God forbid you don’t show that you came to honor the memory.
Then the Chinese government thought that this was completely barbaric. And it was forbidden to urinate, you can only spit and insult. “Tourists are not allowed anything. This is our national traitor, install your own,” the authorities seem to say.
But still, no, no, someone will urinate on the old statue.
More hate!
This dish is two sticks of dough stuck together during deep frying.
In honor of Tsun Hui and his wife they even named one dish - an elongated donut that is fried in boiling oil. Because THE TWO OF THEM WILL BE BOILING IN BOILING OIL FOR EVER AND FOREVER.
But the Chinese are not vindictive. They are just evil, and they have a good memory.
