The boy decided to feed the fish from the pier, but a three-meter stingray swam in on the bread crumbs (3 photos + 1 video)
A schoolboy who decided to feed the fish on the city sea promenade encountered an unusual event. Usually in such places you can find small fish, but this time there were almost no fish on the shore. Soon the water began to darken strangely, and a three-meter stingray suddenly appeared from under the surface.
The schoolboy was initially amazed: it’s not every day that you get to see a fish the size of a room at arm’s length.
However, he pulled himself together and continued to feed the unexpected guest. Moreover, the stingray showed obvious interest and even stuck its head out of the water to examine the boy on the stairs.
Local fishermen later identified this stingray and gave it the name Sebastian. It turns out that this fish has become a kind of symbol of the town of Valle Gran Rey. She often swims up to fishermen's boats in search of food, and fishermen do not mind feeding her with leftover catch or bread.
Sebastian measures about 3 meters and weighs about 200 kilograms. But despite its impressive size, it is a friendly sea creature. After the schoolboy fed him crumbs, the stingray even allowed himself to be stroked:
Interestingly, recently other stingrays in the area began to repeat Sebastian's behavior. Apparently, they realized that getting food from people is much easier than searching in the sea on their own.
