Chevrolet Captiva II will be assembled in Kazakhstan (4 photos)
In Kostanay, Kazakhstan, they are preparing to produce crossovers Chevrolet Captiva second generation. The model was born back in 2019 year and is a redesigned SUV Baojun 530 joint SAIC-GM-Wuling enterprises.
Judging by the documents, a car with a length of 4710 mm, a width of 1835 mm, height 1750 mm and wheelbase equal to 2750 mm, are localized on plant in Kostanay. The production method is not specified in the OTTS, but, according to at least at first, the assembly will clearly be large-unit.
The Captiva is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine with declared power of 147 forces and 250 Nm of torque. Box type programs are not registered in the OTTS, but in neighboring Uzbekistan, where they will probably supply similar vehicle kits, front-wheel drive The crossover is offered only with a CVT.
The cost and composition of complete sets for the Kazakhstan market are still not announced. However, you can familiarize yourself with the vehicle’s equipment at example of the Uzbek modification. There the car will be offered in three trim levels.
The basic Captiva has six airbags, standard set of driver assistant systems, rear parking sensors, cruise control, rear view camera, keyless entry, media system with 10.4-inch screen and 7-inch display in the instrument panel. Interior models are trimmed with artificial leather. It is noted that the most accessible Captiva equipment - 5-seater. In the LT2 version the car becomes 7-seater and a light sensor appears.
The top-end Premier is complemented by climate control, panoramic sunroof, LED optics, all-round cameras, front parking sensors, the audio system uses six speakers instead four, and the interior is trimmed with perforated leatherette.
Prices for Captiva in Uzbekistan are already known: they range from 300 million to 350 million soums, or from 23 to 27 thousand dollars.
