Airplane engine explosion in Brazil caught on video

The turbine exploded a few minutes after takeoff, and passengers filming the views outside the window managed to record the moment of the emergency.

A video filmed by passengers on a plane flying from Rio de Janeiro to Sao Paulo has gone viral on social networks. The airliner was forced to make an emergency landing due to a turbine explosion.

The airline reported that the emergency occurred due to a technical problem with the aircraft's engine. One of the passengers on that flight said that after the incident, people were very scared, and one woman fainted from fear.

“The pilot told us to sit in our seats and buckle up. Many began to worry. Passengers prayed and some suffered panic attacks. The flight attendants tried to calm everyone down,” recalls Sabrina Ciarello.

The plane had to return and make an emergency landing at Galean Airport. The airliner landed without incident, but despite the fact that the passengers were taken care of, the traveler concluded that the service received from the airline was poorly performed. Passengers on the emergency flight had to wait three hours before airport officials attended to them. People were given a food voucher, but at this time it was impossible to find food for the amount specified in the voucher. There were also difficulties with delivery to the desired destination. Passengers had to fly to the city of Curitiba in Paraná, after waiting several more hours at the airport.
