“Now they’re just hanging out”: Arnold Schwarzenegger complained about flabby muscles and an aging body (7 photos)

The seven-time Mr. Olympia is worried that he has completely lost his form.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was an iconic figure in action films of the 1980s and 1990s. The pumped-up, brutal man starred in such hits as “Terminator”, “Predator”, “Commando” and many other films. And he made a lot of money. For example, for “Twins,” where he played opposite Danny DeVito, Arnie took a percentage of the box office fees as a fee for the film and received about $35 million. This is only from one project.

Well, before that, Arnold won the Mr. Olympia title 7 times as the most outstanding (well, well-promoted, not without this) bodybuilder of his time.

Now Schwarzenegger is 76 years old. During these years he received so many titles and awards that just listing them would take a lot of time. During the break between filming and lifting iron, Arnie managed to sit in the chair of the governor of California.

Although this is not enough for him - if Schwarzenegger could run for president of the United States, he would probably do it.

With Donald Trump

Now Arnold publishes books, tours America with lectures, gives interviews and sometimes reflects on his age:

I look in the mirror every day and say, “Yeah, you suck.” Look at this body. Look at the ghostly muscles that used to be tight, perky and truly powerful. Now they just hang there. I mean, what the hell is going on here? It's one thing to see yourself getting older and getting more and more out of shape, but most people have never been in shape in the first place.

When you've been hailed for years as having the perfect body, seeing your abs and chest bulging with veins. And then you fast forward 50 years and... you don’t see it anymore.

And I remembered the past of the USA and the people who “built” America:

These were assertive women and men who got up at five in the morning, fought and fought, and they worked as hard as they could. That's what made this country great. Let's continue like this. There is no need to create a generation of weaklings.
