A model wears a corset 23 hours a day and reduced her waist to 50 cm (9 photos + 1 video)
A Venezuelan woman has been wearing a corset for over ten years. The model has managed to achieve a wasp waist, which has slightly changed the position of her organs. 
33-year-old Aleira Avendaño from Venezuela began her journey to the perfect waist in 2009. For 16 years, she has been working hard to achieve an hourglass figure. She takes off her corset for only one hour a day to “rest and wash,” and even goes to bed in it. 
A woman shared her story:
"It makes me happy. A small waist for me is not only a beauty, but also a symbol of discipline, determination and passion. It allows me to see how my body embodies my efforts and vision."
"It was a very conscious and personal decision, dictated by my desire to turn my body into a living work of art, a form of discipline and aesthetic expression."
She added that she always respected her personal boundaries and never experienced any particular discomfort due to the waist constriction.
"At first it may seem strange and uncomfortable, like any body transformation," the model said. "Over time it becomes routine. It's an adaptation process. I've never ignored my body's signals or tolerated pain."
Back in 2015, Dr. Andres Ruiz warned, "From a medical point of view, it needs to stop immediately. Thank God, it hasn't caused any harm yet, but it needs to stop before it's too late."
Aleira admitted that her efforts "changed the position of the organs a little," but she "never risked her health" and got her doctor's approval at every stage of her treatment.
"Wearing a corset for a long time can change the position of your internal organs a little. This also applies to other changes in the body, even natural ones, such as pregnancy. I have always been under the supervision of a doctor, I have never put my health at risk,” the Venezuelan added.
She spent more than $1 million on her waist, another $38,000 on seven breast augmentations, five rhinoplasties, buttock augmentation, and new teeth.
Aleuria wants to become the owner of the smallest waist in the world, a title currently held by Katie Jung (38 cm).
"[But more importantly] my goal is to stay true to my ideal image, feeling strong, healthy and balanced. I do not chase extremes, I strive for harmony," she insists.
Before the transformations
The woman actively maintains a page on the social network and often receives angry messages.
She responds to her critics: “Everyone has the right to an opinion, but I also have the right to live by my principles. I am who I am, without embellishment. I have never tried to please others. This is a chance to break stereotypes and prove that everyone can be themselves.”
Avendaño has long been accustomed to attention, she is no longer embarrassed by intent glances.
The model recently released her own line of corsets so that others could follow her example.
