In Brazil, a policeman shot several times at a dog running towards him

A video of the incident involving a Brazilian military police officer has appeared online. Surveillance cameras captured the dog charging towards the police officer and his child. The man pulled out a pistol and fired several shots.

Outdoor surveillance cameras installed in a private sector in the city of Cuiaba (the capital of the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil) recorded an attack by an American Bully dog (a type of pit bull) on a military policeman armed with a pistol while holding a child.

The law enforcement officer, not on duty, left the passenger compartment of the car in which his wife remained and, taking his daughter in his arms, stepped aside to make some business calls.
At that moment, the four-legged pet, who had escaped from its owner, rushed towards the policeman with a child in his arms. Law enforcement officers prevented a possible attack with accurate shots.

Soon the owner of the animal filed a statement against the police. The man said that the dog had never attacked anyone before. According to him, a law enforcement officer deliberately shot the animal, and after some time allegedly came to his home and threatened him. An investigation is underway.
