Various small buildings in the mountains, especially at high altitude and right on the steep cliffs, always arouse interest and surprise. Maybe, you have already seen photos of this place on the Web - a vertical slope, on which hangs a small, so to speak, commercial stall. For what? Who can buy something there? How are products delivered there?





Nevertheless, this "store among the rocks" was written about in about in this vein: "Convenience reaches new heights!" - like, what are Chinese, here is a real service, weary climbers can now calmly have a bite to eat and quench your thirst ... This, of course, is nonsense.

Yes, by the way, this place is located in China - to be accurate, then in the Xinyuzhai National Geological Park (Xinyuzhai National Geological Park in Hunan Province.

However, this "stall", which appeared here back in 2018, was called the most inconvenient store in the world.



It is understandable. Climbing a sheer cliff to a height of 120 meters to buy something like water or a chocolate bar - Well, so-so idea, you see. If only if it's not separate quest element, of course.

The thing is that this mini-market is suspended right next to roads - all according to the canons of trade, a place with the largest patency. This road is a special route for climbers.

The photo usually does not show the special fasteners and cables hanging along the "path". However, climbing this route is a kind of attraction for tourists who come to the park.





Running into the store on the way up is part of it. attraction, although optional. But if you climbed to such a height, it is strange not to take advantage of another part of the entertainment. That's why amateur climbers are quite willing to shop - despite scarcity of choice.

The most relevant commodities here are probably energy drinks and water, although you can buy the same chips and the like.

You can pay for all this in cash or, as they say, "with the help of mobile phone" - apparently just a quick bank transfer. Again, you can’t buy a lot - it all needs to be carried upstairs. Note that there is no elevator ????



Worst of all in this case are the sellers and the "loaders", who deliver goods to this unusual store. Apparently, these are experienced climbers - even if they were not, then for sure become.

To maintain a stock of goods, one has to climb up and down from this height at least several times a day.

It is interesting that from the very beginning they write that the store - well like any self-respecting mini-market - is around the clock. The question is not so much how the sellers work there, but how Where are the buyers at night? Perhaps night climbs are also practiced - this, apparently, has a separate charm.



Although the sellers in their comments noted that the only really serious problem for them is the toilet.

You understand, going "to nature" in their case is unrealistic, tourists will misunderstand - you have to go down, do everything business, and then climb back. They say they try to drink less water during work - to run less in this way.

For a long time, the store, of course, has already been rebuilt - here in the photo below, let's say it looks different. But it's the same place.
