Fires in Canada are finally out of control
Canada has been on fire for almost half a year and is not going to stop.
It all started in March of this year, during which time the flames destroyed 13.7 million hectares of forest. Fires have been reported in all provinces and territories. Over 150,000 people have been evacuated.
The largest fires were in Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia.
Day and night the sky is the same red
The Canadian Interagency Wildfire Center said this is the worst season on record. Around 1,100 fires are now blazing throughout the territory.
All the videos are fresh! On Friday, the evacuation of the population of the provincial capital of the Northwest Territory, the city of Yellowknife, ended, all 20,000 people left the city due to the inability to save it from the flames.
Locals leave Yellowknife.
The Northwest Territories has been declared a state of emergency with more than 200 wildfires raging there. The cities of Fort Smith, K'atl'odeche, Hay River, Enterprise, and Jean Marie River are under evacuation orders.
