Toilets in German trains: do not touch anything with your hands (5 photos)
I always thought that the toilet, its cleanliness, the degree of convenience, aesthetics and frequency of cleaning can be judged by the level of the place where you are. And also about the degree of accuracy and neatness of people living or using this place.
Somewhere the toilets look like you are in the Augean stables, somewhere they are sterile, like in an operating room.
And in this vein, toilets in transport in different countries and different modes of transport. Remember Soviet latrines in trains are not even long distance? Here I am about the same.
How is the situation in the German provincial commuter trains?
The toilets here are absolutely perfect! Neat, clean and, most importantly, comfortable.
Almost all trains here have long been transferred to the maximum contactless system so that the person interacts as little as possible hands with toilet equipment. Because these are the first points of active transmission everything, anything. Especially in light of the recent pandemic.
As a result, all flushes, water supply to the washbasin and even buttons call for help are arranged in such a way that pressing does not occur fingers.
Leg, knee, elbow. The risk of transmitting or catching an infection is minimal.
In America, by the way, this system has been common for a very long time. And in this vein, the Germans picked up a great idea.
Now we are waiting for everything to be transferred to a similar principle of using public places.
