Museum staff received a parcel with a strange "mummy" (4 photos)

The employees of the historical museum in Richmond (Indiana, USA) were very surprised when they found in one of the boxes the "mummy" of the hybrid rats and humans.





Upon opening the box, people realized that such strange exhibits they haven't posted yet. The contents were the mummy of a certain creature, most of all resembling a hybrid of a rat and a man. Unknown the sender also left a note in which he explained that this creation named Rat Boy and was found in the basement many years ago abandoned hospital. After that, the mummy belonged to the owner of the circus, and he handed it to his friend, the grandfather of the anonymous donor.



First of all, the museum staff made sure that they were dealing not with a mummy at all. Creepy souvenir is made of plaster or clay with using claws and animal fur. Such fakes used to be often used in circuses to deceive gullible people.



But much more upsetting is the fact that the museum cannot yet include Rat Boy in the exhibit. They are required by law to sign the donor several official documents, which is impossible to do until this person will not show up. So the museum staff asks a stranger get in touch.

They really want the fake mummy representing of considerable historical interest, was put on display for visitors.
