Russian schoolgirl's backpack exploded during a lesson

Oh, those Chinese power banks.

The incident happened this morning in a Moscow school during a math lesson. As the schoolchildren said, first a slight bang sounded in a classmate's backpack, and then a powerful fire occurred.

As it turned out later, the battery for mobile devices caught fire. The case is far from isolated - probably everyone saw how power banks explode and burn intensely. But fortunately, no one was hurt. The owner of the ill-fated device managed to run away from the desk.

The teacher, according to media reports, did not lose her head and coped with the fire by taking a fire extinguisher. Running away from the desk, the eighth-grader was able to save only her mobile phone, all her other things burned down.

But now the schoolgirl has a good reason not to show the diary to her parents.

The operational services did not call the school, the lessons continue as usual, the director said.
