Most interesting cars have a colorful story about how they appeared. Fiat Eden Roc is no exception. In the mid 1950s years, the legendary Gianni Agnelli came up with a stylish transport for transportation of guests from the main house of his estate in Nice to the beach.

The car has its own name - Fiat Eden Roc, and it appeared thanks to Gianni Agnelli, the main shareholder of the company Fiat. This wealthy gentleman wanted to have a small, beautiful and unique car for short trips from your villa to coast. Therefore, the yacht theme is clearly expressed in the design.

Speaking of design. The development of the machine was carried out by the Pininfarina studio. Taking the body of the Multipla, removing everything superfluous and strengthening where necessary, the specialists eminent atelier created an appearance that does not leave anyone indifferent. No motorists, no yachtsmen. The edging and bumpers, by the way, are wooden, causing even more associations with the yacht.

Fiat Eden Roc - that rare case when assembled according to special order car was presented at the Paris Motor Show, in 1956 year. They say that Agnelli himself wished to show the whole world a car that only he had. Yes, you guessed it, the dude is not overly modest bothered.

The creation of a second instance was not planned in principle, but very oil tycoon William Doheny liked the car a lot. Excellent a car to ride from my house to the pier on the lake, I thought he, but it turned out that there are things in the world that he cannot buy even an oil tycoon. Realizing that Agnelli would never sell his Eden Roc, Doheny begged him to at least build a second copy, and that one agreed. And so the second car appeared, the construction of which was not originally planned.

By the way, someone already thought - somewhere, once I saw a similar car in Zakharov's illustrations for the well-known magazine.

You read that right, "Ant", created in the mid-sixties Oleg Ivchenko based on drawings by Molchanov, reminds me of Eden Roc.
