In the ancient city of Chichen Itza, a tourist climbed a sacred Mayan pyramid and performed a dance. Local residents and other tourists did not tolerate such behavior and attacked the woman when she descended to the ground.
In Mexico, a cheerful lady climbed a Mayan pyramid, and then paid the price. An angry crowd met her at the foot of the pyramid. People pinched, pushed, pulled her hair, poured water over and insulted a woman who, in their opinion, treated the ancient cultural monument with no respect.
The pyramid is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is forbidden to climb it - a fine of up to 100 thousand pesos (1800 dollars) is provided, writes The Sun.
