Today you won't recognize this dog! Thanks to love and care, she turned into a beauty (8 photos + 1 video)

In April 2015, on the outskirts of Athens (Greece), a woman discovered a stray dog whose face looked like a stone.

The information is, of course, ancient, but it seems that it was not on the Chips.

She took a photo and posted it on Facebook in hopes that the right people could help.

5-year-old Petra (Greek for “stone”) apparently had no experience with people before. It was almost impossible to get close to her - she was running away. It was extremely difficult to save her, but people did not give up.

Finally, she was caught and sent to an orphanage in Oropos. There Petra was met by Valya Orphanidou and realized that she had to help her.

Petra was in extremely poor condition. She was diagnosed with scabies, skin infections and leishmaniasis. Even after the treatment began, Petra suffered - she did not trust anyone. She hid in her cage and growled at the other inhabitants of the shelter.

However, with each passing week, Petra became more and more brave. She began to leave her cage and tolerate people who tried to communicate with her.

Orphanidou never gave up on Petra, and soon she became completely different.

Petra began to communicate with people.

Today it is difficult to recognize her. From a skinny, scabby and frightened dog, she turned into a beauty. Petra is still looking for her home and is ready to become part of a loving, caring family.
