A pet dog shared his blanket with a freezing stray dog (6 photos)

An 8-month-old dog named Lana, rescued in Brazil, has forgotten what it's like to live in fear on the street, but apparently still remembers what it's like to be a stray. When Lana saw a stray dog getting ready to face the cold night outside her owner’s fence, she shared the little she had.

"I thought, 'What a wonderful thing she did for her friend,'" said Suelen Schaumloeffel, the dog's owner. “My best four-legged friend reminded me of something so important: generosity!”

“She’s the nicest little dog I’ve ever met,” the woman says. “We sometimes forget what an important role we can play in someone’s life. And she reminded me of this."

After this gesture from her dog, she left some water and food for the stray, believing that this is what Lana would like to do. Unfortunately, the stray dog still runs away from her every time the woman tries to approach him. Still, Schomloeffel hopes that one day they will be able to help the dog find a home.
