Lana's photo spread across the Internet in 2015. Then she received the nickname “the saddest dog in the world.” Lana was sad because her new owners abandoned her. These people took her from the shelter, but the dog did not suit them - and they returned Lana back. She was so upset that she refused to go for walks. Soon Lana was taken away again - but was recently returned to the shelter because Lana was "not affectionate enough." Will Lana get a lucky ticket?

The photo was taken just at the time when the owners, who took Lana from the shelter, returned her back. She was so upset that she refused to go for walks.

Soon, the shelter staff found new owners for Lana, giving the dog a second chance.

Unfortunately, Lana was recently returned to the shelter, and she is again desperately looking for a home.

“The new owners gave up on Lana because they wanted a dog they could play with, pet and cuddle,” says Dog Rescue founder Brenda Dobriansky.

“Yes, Lana loves to play and fool around, but she is not the kind of dog that will allow you to cuddle her and scratch her ribs,” warns Brenda.

Lana has been through a lot, and she needs an owner capable of endless patience to make her trust people again.

If Lana's owners are not found soon, according to the law, she may be euthanized.

Now the shelter staff is diligently looking for owners for the dog who are ready to accept Lana with all her characteristics.
