What do you think of when you hear the word "Siberia"? Some people think of lush greenery, forests and a wide variety of wild animals.

However, most people will think of extremely harsh winters, large amounts of snow and difficult terrain. In Siberia, winter temperatures often drop to -40-50 degrees.

Every sane adult understands that a child should not be left outdoors, but this is exactly what happened in the Altai Territory.

A mother left her two-year-old son on the porch of the house when the temperature outside dropped below minus 20 degrees.

There was no chance that the child would survive the night, and then an unexpected character appeared in this story, who acted as a real guardian angel.

The dog that lived in the house where the boy was left on the porch apparently realized that the child was in great danger.

The dog covered the baby with himself, and his fur and body warmth helped him warm up and survive in the cold for two whole days.

Two days passed before neighbors, who noticed the dog lying on the porch, came to the house to make sure everything was okay. When they found a child under the dog's fur, they immediately realized the seriousness of the situation.

Despite the heroic efforts of the four-legged rescuer, the little boy was acutely hypothermic and in very poor general condition.

The child miraculously survived and was able to fully recover from what happened to him in the hospital. Residents of the Loktevsky district now call the dog nothing less than “hero” and “savior”.

The child's mother, who will be held accountable, faces imprisonment and deprivation of parental rights. She showed up 4 days after the neighbors discovered the child.

If the dog had not shown such incredible care towards the child, this story would have had a completely different ending. Over and over again, dogs prove to us their devotion and willingness to go through thick and thin to protect us humans.

This is not the first time in Siberia that a dog saves a child. 3 years ago, 3-year-old Karina Chikitova from a remote village in the Republic of Sakha, Russia, disappeared from her home along with her dog.

There are many wolves and bears in the area where the girl disappeared.

When 9 days had passed since the child disappeared without a trace, her dog ran to the neighboring village for help. The girl, who had been eating berries and sleeping in the grass all this time, was able to survive only thanks to her faithful friend.

The smart dog showed the way to rescuers, who were eventually able to find the three-year-old girl. This was incredible happiness and relief for her parents!

The child did not have any serious injuries other than mosquito bites. The dog protected her at night and found safe places until she led rescuers to her.

Today, both children are alive and well, only thanks to their devoted dog friends. Dogs are truly wonderful, heroic animals!
