Have you ever seen a sadder cat? This baby was found in Montreal (Canada). It seems that his upset appearance directly screams that the poor guy has spent his entire life on the street...
It seemed that the sad expression was forever frozen on his face! Fortunately, this is not the case.
One of the baby's ears is partially frostbitten, and the other is severely damaged. He spent many winters outside, but it was this winter that undermined his health. Although caring people fed the yard cat, no one cared about him anyway, and, of course, no one was interested in his health.
The pet was noticed already when he was in a very deplorable state. There was an unpleasant smell coming from him, and his eyes were festering...
The baby was found by volunteers from the Chatons Orphelins Montreal shelter.
“His nose was clogged with mucus and it was difficult for the cat to breathe. They also found a lot of parasites and ear mites on him!” they say.
The cat was named Barney. He is missing several teeth, and his whole body is covered with scars, which suggests that he had to fight a lot with street cats and dogs. Despite this, the baby is a very kind and affectionate cat.
“He’s like a big teddy bear, he’s very affectionate and just wants to be loved,” the volunteers say.
Barney was prescribed antibiotics, and like a true man, he endured all the procedures.
“He is very strong and muscular, he was probably the king among cats in the place where he lived. Just look at his cheeks! Obviously, he was not castrated,” the volunteers continue to say.
Now the cat feels much better. His eyes are no longer festering and he's almost finished his course of antibiotics.
Doctors say that when the cat recovers a little more, he can be neutered and then transferred to a foster family. Kind hands from one kind home are already looking forward to their cat!
“When we come to him, he reaches under my arm and pushes it with his head to get his portion of affection. He spent enough time with us to heal and come to his senses,” say the volunteers.
Just look at handsome Barney now! Don't you think his face is a little more cheerful than before?
Baby, we wish you to finish the course of treatment as soon as possible and find yourself in a Good Home, where you will never be sad again!
