A girl pulled a cat out of the river with a circular saw tied to it (5 photos)
Life's troubles sometimes drag us down, and sometimes in the literal sense of the word. One sunny day, Megan Istaugf was feeding her horse in Adelaide, Australia, and thinking about the upcoming lunch. But some strange sounds made Megan quit what she was doing. It was not far from the river, and it seemed that the sound came precisely from the water. It would seem - sail away from there, and that’s it! But…
Megan walked to the shore and saw a cat on the water. The poor fellow meowed and was in no hurry to leave her place, no matter how Megan called her. The kitten (the baby looked no more than 6 months old) stubbornly did not want to leave his place, and Istaugf could not understand why... Until she stood in another place and saw something terrible.
The kitten was not just sitting in one place - he was barely staying afloat, being tied by some strange cable. Megan panicked, as despair was visible in the eyes of the poor kitten, and it was clear that the animal would not last long.
But it was not easy to get to him - the river was deep, and it was necessary to call someone else for help.
Fortunately, the cries for help were heard by Megan's friend, Jessica Searle, who came up to see what had happened. The brave girl, without hesitation for a second, stepped into the deep river and moved towards the kitten in trouble.
Having captured the animal along with a rather heavy object tied to it, Jessica rushed to the shore and brought the cat to a safe place, pulling a strange “stone” that was tied to a cable onto the shore.
What he saw turned out to be even more terrible than it looked at first. The cat was tied with a cord from an electric saw - the poor fellow was simply tied up with this wire and thrown into the river so that the circular saw would serve as a load sufficient to kill him.
Fortunately, the cat turned out to be very resilient, and shocked Megan and Jessica went to the veterinary clinic.
They said on the spot that the cat does not have any microchips, and the identity of the owner cannot be established. However, the kitten had parts of its fur, whiskers and even eyelashes torn off, which definitely suggested the madness of its “owner.” The local animal welfare organization said it would investigate to find the man.
What about the kitten?
Everything is fine with him - his name is now Splash, he lives with Jessica and purrs blissfully in his sleep.
Now his life is safe - no animals in human form can get him! The life of the little fluffy ball is now absolutely bright and cloudless.)
