These guys' bachelor party turned into a quest and rescue of 7 pot-bellied puppies (4 photos)
They say that pleasant finds a few days before the wedding are a good omen. That's exactly what happened to Mitchell Craddock from Vicksburg, Michigan, during his recent bachelor party!
This new groom took a five-day road trip with friends to Tennessee. They stopped in a wonderful place and while the guys were cooking bacon, a curious dog came to the open door to sniff the pleasant air.)
The dog was dirty, flea-ridden and clearly hungry. The guys treated the poor thing to slices of meat, which she happily accepted, but refused to go inside!
"She was very friendly but very skittish - I thought she had run away from home," Craddock said.
Thinking that the dog belonged to one of the neighbors, the guys allowed it to stay. But when they returned from a 4-hour walk in the forest, they found the dog still waiting patiently at the door, not daring to go inside.
Concerned for the dog's well-being, the guy continued to feed it, and the boys eventually named it Orphan Annie.
After three days of caring for the dog, the men noticed that there was milk in her breasts, which meant she had recently given birth to puppies. Soon everyone realized that the puppies were somewhere nearby and decided to find them.
As a result, the dog led the men to a deep hole, which was full of puppies - the guys counted 7 of them! While Annie was quite weak, all of her 5-week-old puppies appeared vigorous and healthy.
“We were proud of her. She gave everything she had to these puppies,” Mitchell said.
Over the next few days, the men took on motherly duties, bringing the puppies into their home and providing the family with food and care.)
By the time the bachelor party was over, everyone was amazed!
Each guy left there not only in a good mood, but also with a new puppy that he fell in love with these days. Even Annie is no longer an orphan, because Craddock has found a new home for his mother dog!
Upon returning to Michigan, all puppies were vet checked and are now enjoying life with their new families!
This is a real pre-wedding gift for the groom and his friends!
