A man saved Pallas cats, which at first glance seemed like ordinary kittens.

One day, while walking around his property, a Russian farmer found four tiny helpless kittens in his barn.

They were still very small and blind, and without proper care they were destined to die, so the farmer decided to take them with him and care for them until they got back on their feet.

Despite the fact that they looked like the kittens of an ordinary domestic cat, they still had some color features that forced the farmer to contact the staff of the nearby Daursky Nature Reserve. There they determined that these were in fact kittens of the Pallas's cat - a wild forest cat. This species, although not much larger than a regular cat, still has a stockier build and some characteristic features.

The staff of the reserve decided to take the kittens home, where they found two foster mothers who accepted them as their own.

When the little Pallas' cats grew up, it was time to release them into the wild, they were equipped with collars with radio transmitters and released.

But the Pallas' cats couldn't cope, they lost their collars and couldn't find enough food in the winter. When the reserve staff found them, the animals were very thin. It was decided to keep them until spring.

In the spring they were released again and have already successfully adapted to wild conditions.
