Airport workers rescued animals in a box that stood for 7 days

This container stayed at the airport in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, for about a week. No one came to pick up the unmarked box, and the names of the sender and recipient were not there. When opening the box, airport workers clearly did not expect to find animals there!

Soon information surfaced about where the unusual cargo was coming from and where it was headed. The former owners of the container, together with the recipients, are bombarding local animal activists with demands to return the confiscated goods. However, the rescuers are not going to give up without a fight!

As it turned out, three four-month-old Siberian tiger cubs were hiding in the box. There are no more than a thousand of these wonderful animals left in the world, and the babies from the box were literally a couple of steps away from death.

The small supplies inside were long gone by the time the box was opened. Half-dead from hunger and thirst, the little ones lay exhausted among parasites and their own excrement.

Having seen the condition of the rare tiger cubs, the judge in charge of the case handed them over to the care of local animal rights activists. Volunteers diligently nursed the unfortunate babies, fed them with medicine, and gave the animals a normal home. I note that until this moment the tiny tigers didn’t even have names, only accession numbers.

Parasites and unsanitary conditions have left the skin and fur of animals in a deplorable state. Now a specialist is monitoring the health of Maya, Tanya and Anton, as the cubs were named on site. The little ones have been treated for diarrhea and are getting help with their cracked paw pads and skin irritation.

As it turned out just the other day, the tiger cubs were traveling from the Ukrainian zoo to the Syrian one. Representatives of these organizations demand in every possible way the release of kittens.

However, local law enforcement officers are in no hurry to part with rare animals. It is worth noting that on the black market each such baby costs tens of thousands of dollars!

Previously, Siberian tiger cubs have already been involved in smuggling cases, so the police are monitoring the situation. Well, animal advocates hope that in the end the little ones will remain under their care!

It is still unknown why the transfer of tiger cubs from one zoo to another almost resulted in their death. We can only hope that justice will prevail, and the little predators will be assigned to where the animals will best live!
