An unusual competition for people suffering from a lack of sleep took place in Tokyo. Several dozen Japanese people competed to see who could fall asleep the fastest and sleep the soundest.
Participants put on sleep trackers and lay down on mattresses to compete for a prize of over two million yen. They were given up to 90 minutes.
The competition was organized by a mattress company to highlight the issue of sleep deprivation among the Japanese.
The winner said she would spend her prize money on a new apartment and a bed.
