Cats in Kazakhstan help search for missing fellow felines

People attach cameras to their pets and let them roam freely. The camera footage is sent to a bot system, where a neural network matches the faces of cats caught on lens with missing pet ads.
Volunteers from Almaty put cameras on their free-roaming pets. The recordings are uploaded to a Telegram bot, where an AI matches the faces encountered with photos from missing pet listings—if there is a match, the owner receives a notification.
And since these whiskered “scouts” get into places humans definitely wouldn't look, it makes the search significantly easier.
