Three seconds to safety: young woman escapes kidnapper to reach police

In the Brazilian city of Corinto, a woman who, according to police, was kidnapped by her ex-partner, waited for the right moment to escape during a stop at a gas station. She saw a patrol car nearby, unbuckled her seatbelt, and in just a few seconds ran out of the vehicle and rushed to the police officers.
The man tried to follow her, but police officers quickly stopped and detained him on the spot. Gas station cameras captured the moment the woman seized her only chance to ask for help.
