How Alizée’s "Moi... Lolita" sounds today

It seems like only yesterday—on July 4, 2000—that 15-year-old Corsican native Alizée Jacotey (known simply as Alizée) burst onto the global charts with the song "Moi... Lolita." The single was a massive success, selling nearly 1.3 million copies and becoming the singer's signature song for years to come.

More than two decades later, Alizée picked up the microphone once again to perform her greatest hit at a radio station. Now in her forties, her voice sounds different than it did in her youth, yet she still looks stunning.

Today, she lives in her hometown of Ajaccio, Corsica, where she runs a dance school, raises two daughters, and occasionally performs on stage. And "Moi... Lolita" still has the power to instantly transport listeners back to the early 2000s.
