An underwater capsule has been deployed off the coast of Florida, allowing scientists to live and work for weeks at a time without returning to the surface.
At a depth of 17 meters, the habitat features all the essentials—beds, a kitchen, and a bathroom—with oxygen, electricity, and satellite internet supplied via a specialized floating buoy.
Looking to the future, the developers plan to build a larger modular station that would serve as an ocean-floor equivalent of the ISS.
