The recipe for the first Coca-Cola was discovered in Florence: a 19th-century document with a recipe for a "restorative wine elixir" was discovered in the archives of the San Marco monastery. What were the ingredients of this drink?

It included Bolivian coca leaves, kola nuts, and wine. The recipe turned out to be very similar to the one used several decades later by American pharmacist John Pemberton.

He replaced the wine with carbonated water and created a syrup that became the basis of Coca-Cola.
