Birdman Became Famous Thanks to His Unusual Friendship with Birds
A former homeless man says caring for birds helped him overcome the depression of living on the streets. For several years now, he's been rescuing injured birds and living with them. Rogers now owns a small house on the outskirts of town, where he shares his home with kites, crows, storks, and other birds. His feathered neighbors roam freely throughout the man's home and accompany him when he goes outside.
However, authorities are concerned that Rogers, by helping the birds, is contributing to the spread of disease. He's particularly criticized for eating from the same plate as his feathered friends. But the kindhearted man believes he's helping nature. He's convinced that humans and animals can coexist peacefully.
