Beebe Buell is an American singer and former model. She was Playboy's Playmate of the Month for November 1974. From 1972 to 1979, Buell lived with rock musician Todd Rundgren. In 1976, Buell became pregnant after a short-lived relationship with Steven Tyler. She gave birth on July 1, 1977, named her daughter Liv Rundgren, and claimed Todd Rundgren as the child's father. By that time, Rundgren and Buell had already separated, but Rundgren still listed his name on Liv's birth certificate and assumed the role of her father, including paying for her education.



At the age of 10 or 11, Liv met Steven Tyler and suspected he was her father when she noticed their resemblance to Tyler's daughter, Mia. When she asked her mother about it, she confessed. The truth about Liv's real father only became public knowledge in 1991, when she changed her last name from Rundgren to Tyler, but kept her old name as her middle name.

Buell explained that she hid the truth about her daughter's real father because Steven Tyler was suffering from a severe drug addiction at the time of Liv's birth. After learning the truth, Liv and Steven grew closer and even began working together: the actress appeared in Aerosmith's video for "Crazy" in 1993, and in 1998, Aerosmith recorded the soundtrack for the film Armageddon, in which she starred.





Tyler maintains a close relationship with Rundgren.

I'm so grateful to him, I love him so much. You know, when he hugs me, I feel like he's my dad. And he's very strong and protective of me.

When Liv was asked about her childhood in an interview, she said:

I didn't really have a childhood when I was a teenager because I've been working since I was 14. But that also kept me out of trouble. While everyone else was dropping acid and partying like crazy, I was working on a film in Tuscany... of course, I had fun too, but in a completely different way. I don't regret anything. I like the way my life turned out.
