Micro-racing in France: Miniature Citroen Ami electric cars staged a spectacular race at the velodrome

A unique sports show, L.A.C.O.U.R.S.E, took place in France, featuring nine Citroën Ami subcompact electric cars competing in a 100-lap race. The competition venue was a concrete velodrome in Commentry, temporarily transformed into a NASCAR-style race track. For the race, organizers removed the electronic speed limits on the miniature quadricycles, allowing them to accelerate to 65-70 km/h (40-45 mph) instead of the standard 45 km/h (28 mph). The main challenge of the competition was managing battery power, as completing the entire distance at full acceleration with a range of 75 km (47 miles) was technically impossible. As a result, the unusual Twitch stream attracted over a million viewers, who watched the tactical battle of these "wheeled stools" with fascination and excitement.
