A courier stole a client's cat

A camera captured the moment Junie the cat was stolen from the porch of a California home.

Junie's owner posted footage of the brazen thief on social media. The man, still holding his phone, places a package in front of the door and pets the cat. He then picks her up and leaves. He and the stolen pet flee the scene in a van. "I'm absolutely shocked that someone would have the nerve to do this. <...> I would have liked her to fight back. But it's just not in her nature," said the cat's owner, Brenda Wilson.

She noted that Junie knows her way home and that if she had been dropped off nearby, the cat would have returned. However, her beloved pet has been missing for several days; the sheriff's office has taken over the theft. The delivery service is also conducting an internal investigation.
