A bowl of guacamole weighing 6 tons was prepared at a Mexican festival. This is a world record
The record was set at an avocado festival in the city of Tancítaro. More than 1,000 local residents prepared 6 tons of guacamole in just 2.5 hours.
"This moment belongs to the thousands of families whose livelihoods depend on avocado cultivation," said Raúl Martínez Pulido, president of the Mexican Avocado Growers and Packers Association. Pulido noted that the record confirms the "unity, discipline, and hard work" of local residents.
The previous record—4.9 tons of guacamole—was also set in Mexico in 2022.
