From the lives of activists: an artist hung upside down inside a bell

A naked woman climbed into a bell, hung upside down, and rang it, slamming her body against it.

At the Venice Biennale, naked Austrian artist Florentina Holzinger climbed into a huge bronze bell, hung upside down, and began ringing it with her body.

This is part of a large-scale installation on the theme of climate apocalypse and the impending flood. The Biennale officially opens on May 9, but the performance has already begun.
