A cheeky ginger cat started eating a Bengal tiger at a Mexican zoo (2 photos)
Staff at the Chapultepec Zoo in Mexico City (Mexico) told a comedic story: for four months, they've been waging a war with a brazen orange cat who has turned a Bengal tiger's enclosure into his own personal buffet. Apparently, he's completely unafraid of the enormous predator. As the saying goes, "He who dares, eats two." 
"The Feline Outlaw," as keepers have nicknamed him, visits three to four times a week. CCTV cameras captured a 4-kilogram robber approaching a tray of raw meat just as a 300-kilogram tiger, having finished its meal, fell asleep. The most hilarious thing is that the guest finishes the leftovers, as if he were doing someone a favor.
Staff blocked the entrances to the enclosure, but the cat found new openings. They set tuna traps, but he ate the bait and moved on. And when they changed the tiger's feeding schedule, the intruder simply changed his own. Basically, he remains invincible.
One day, the predator woke up and saw the intruder, but did nothing. "It was as if he couldn't understand how such a small creature could behave so brazenly," one of the keepers shared. 
Apparently, over time, the tabby has come to terms with the situation. In one photo, he's lying calmly near a feeding trough while a ginger cat devours his meat. "The tiger has decided that not every battle is worth fighting," zoo staff concluded philosophically.
Spanish-language social media users consider the "feline criminal" a legend. "Ginger cats only have one brain cell, but this one must be brilliantly criminal," users joke. Others speculate that the tiger either views the freeloader as a tiny foster brother or is only bored and doesn't mind his visits.
However, not everyone found the story amusing. Some animal rights activists criticized the enclosure, calling it a dreary concrete space with minimal living facilities—just a few simple logs. "This place looks depressing for such a magnificent animal," wrote one user.
